Manoir Montdidier

Life in Burgundy

Welcome to our home in the south of Bourgogne. Montdidier is an 18th century manoir that once hosted 222 hectares of orchards. Today, it has been fully restored using old methods and materials (French oak and stones from the region) by local craftsmen in the village. The manoir contains approximately 30 rooms - featuring 8 guestrooms (many with working fireplaces), a separate guesthouse, 3 kitchens, library, wine cellar, horse stables, dog kennel, pool and indoor spa. It has been furnished with antiques from the 17th-19th centuries respecting the history and style of house.

Manoir Montdidier was purchased in 2004 and has undergone a 7-year renovation project. Many acres of land previously used for orchards and cattle have been converted into gardens.

The manoir is home to horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, poultry, peacocks, pigeons, dogs, cats and other interesting animals.

Be sure to see the short film "Charge!" in the animals' pages.
